Is that how life should be? Fair? Or not-

No matter how hard I try and strive,
I always dont get them back.
I promised I did my best.
So now is the question,

SO?
STILL THE SAME?
OR IT GOT WORST?
SO WHY STRIVE? AND TRY SO HARD?

Im starting to doubt. .
Doubt if I am suited fr this line. OR
I should back off?
